Mariah Carey is marking the 20th anniversary of her iconic 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi with an expanded re-release coming May 30.
The updated edition includes remixes, bonus tracks, and the long-awaited song “When I Feel It,” previously unreleased due to sample clearance issues.
Carey credits the album with revitalizing her career, saying it gave her creative freedom and attracted a new wave of fans.
She’s also a 2025 nominee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, calling the recognition a “huge honor.”
Carey hinted at future music projects, including possibly releasing songs from her long-rumored ’90s grunge album.
She also expressed interest in collaborating with Rihanna and making music with her children.
Carey’s debut album celebrates 35 years this June.
